Rivian launches Rewards program for existing and new customers

Rivian has launched the ‘Rivian Rewards’ customer referral program for existing and new customers on every new vehicle purchase.

This program is available for US-based Rivian owners, who will have a personalized referral code. You can find this code in your account and App profile.

When someone purchases a Rivian vehicle with a referral code and takes delivery. Both the new (referee) and the existing owners (referer) will get rewards including:

  1. 750 points that can spent in Gear Shop or R1 Shop. To be mentioned, 1 point is equal to $1 in credit, which means $750 in total.
  2. The second reward is 6 months of free charging at Adventure Network sites (up to a lifetime limit of three years).

The initial 100 owners who make 25 qualifying referrals will get a special Rivian Adventure Weekend hosted next year.

Redeem

Rivian will credit rewards to accounts within two weeks after the delivery. The awarded points will expire two years from the day added to your account.

There’s no limit on the referral program and no cap on total points earned by new and existing owners. However, the EV maker will only allow up to 3 years of free charging in the lifetime of an account.

Interstingly, rewarded points can also be redeemed for a qualifying R1 vehicle. However, it cannot be used for deposits, custom vehicle configuration, reservations, or purchases outside Rivian’s official shop.

Important

This program is not available in Ohio and Virginia due to state laws but they can share their referral code to new customers and enable them to win the rewards instead.

To win 750 points, customers will have to take deliveries before January 1, 2025. The company may change the point reward after that date.

The EV maker has plans to expand this reward program and add more ways for customers to earn points.
