iOS 18 Beta 8 releases a week before final rollout
Apple continues to prepare iOS 18 for a stable rollout and has released beta 8 to meet the deadline. The company has been sending beta builds for developers since WWDC24 and the latest one comes a week after beta 7.
Similar to previous software, iOS 18 Beta 8 has nothing to say in the changelog. However, the company has not labeled the beta as a release candidate. That means we can see an RC rollout next week.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has announced It’s Glowtime event for September 9 to unveil the latest iPhones. These devices will reportedly run iOS 18 out of the box. Simultaneously, it will call the final rollout for all iPhone users on the same date.
iOS 18 comes with numerous new changes in the user interface especially in the control center and personalization.
You now have more control over the control center with new customizations that include better control buttons. To improve use cases and provide efficiency, Apple has added a control gallery to help you select action buttons and add them right away.
Moving on, the home screen personalization has added the option to change the color of app icons. You can match the color to your iPhone’s wallpaper or any other. You can also change the size of these icons to make them look bigger.
These are just a few major changes in the operating system but more features are added to iOS 18, which you will experience with the stable release.
