xAI launched new Grok features with X 10.56 (iOS) update

Generative AI company xAI has officially announced new features for Grok large language model (LLM) with a 10.56 version update for iOS users.

This is the first major feature update since the Grok 2 and 2 mini announcement. This update comes with impressive new capabilities for the X social media app.

Image Generation Prompt Suggestions

Grok 2 models allow you to generate images and you can now ask Grok for some creative ideas on a subject, an object, whatever it may be.

If you want to start fresh type in “Image Generation Prompt Suggestions” and hit enter. You will see a bunch of prompts, you can copy and paste these prompts to start generating images.

Or you can be specific, first, you need to generate an image and then ask “Suggest some prompts”. It will give you a list of prompts to create an image.

Improved Model Selector

After this update, you will see optimizations in the Grok model select menu. The UI has been refreshed with a little model description beneath the model’s name.

The UI will show a blue checkmark to show the selected model. Also, the fun mode now has a square check box rather than a circle button.

Edit Prompt

You can edit your prompt on the go in iOS. All you need to do is tap and hold the prompt to delete words, edit, and submit it again. This feature is quite helpful in mixing ideas and making changes to the same result.

Select Text

Previously, Grok users could only copy the entire text prompt result but now, they can copy a specific text from the answer. Just tap and hold on to the result, select “Select text”, make a selection, and copy the text.

New Version

Users with Premium and Premium+ subscriptions can download the latest 10.56 X app update to get the new Grok features.
