Apple is inching closer to the final iOS 18 software release and it can deliver beta 3 for iOS 18.1 and beta 8 for iOS 18.0 by this week.

At WWDC24, iOS 18 was unveiled with new features. It has massive changes in user interface and personalization. Right after the announcement, iOS 18 entered the developer beta, followed by a public test.

However, this build doesn’t house the latest generative AI features. Hence, only two existing iPhones can run this suit including iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and the reason for that is their latest processor.

Therefore, the company is managing two separate branches of software to distribute these software bundles to eligible devices.

And for the first time, Apple has already revealed the upcoming without even releasing the base version. In that case, we’re talking about iOS 18.1. A month after iOS 18 public beta, this version arrived for iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max devices.

There are numerous changes made in the intelligence section of the device but there are two things that you will immediately notice. The first is the advanced Siri user interface and animation, and the new writing tools.

The voice assistant could be taking the spotlight of this year’s iPhone 16 series launch on September 9. In the current iOS 18.1 beta, the iPhone maker has not seeded the new language model. So, despite changes in UI and animation, testers are still using the old Siri underneath.

Mark Gurman expects that iOS 18.1 Beta 3 with Apple Intelligence and iOS 18 beta 8 could rollout later this week. Gurman predicts that Wednesday could be the day for the OTA update release.
