Apple has officially announced the next iPhone event “It’s Glowtime” and shared an animated logo, which indicates a few things about this showcase.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s SVP of Marketing shared a short video clip on social media site X with the caption “We’re glowing with excitement! Monday, September 9”.

The video starts with the Apple logo with glows of different colors, which later blend in and form an orb/circle. The colors and the formation are similar to the new Siri voice assistant.

Up close, the clip shows the current-gen Siri’s wake-up animation on iOS 17. However, those colors lead us to the newest version and the latest user interface that the company unveiled alongside iOS 18.

With this new iOS version, Apple will revamp Siri voice assistant with the most advanced AI technologies. The company is switching to a more human-like language processing model to understand and respond as naturally as possible.

This upgrade is based on new model training to surpass the predecessor. These upgrades include the brand new collaboration with OpenAI. It means that Siri will also be able to use the ChatGPT server based on user preference.

For example, when you ask anything with Siri and want to get the answer in detail, there will be an option to redirect that question to ChatGPT. Apple said Siri will use its intelligence by default and only redirect questions to the OpenAI server based on user selection.

This upgrade is not limited to AI because the new Siri will bring a new user interface. This new UI has intuitive animation that feels interactive and shows users that Siri is active. It will trigger different animations based on voice or power button wakeup.
