iPhone 16 series to launch on September 10: Gurman
Apple is preparing to launch iPhone 16 series on September 10 according to Bloomebrg’s Mark Gurman. The company will also showcase other interesting devices.
Gurman said that the event timing is currently unconfirmed but the company is in discussion, which could be in the morning. These devices will be sold 10 days after the September 20 unveiling, which is identical to previous schedules.
This new date is lined-up with previously rumored dates, while Gurman previously speculated around September 20.
iPhone 16 series will be one of the most critical device launches for the Cupertino-based tech company. Its market share has declined in China and its sales are slowing.
The upcoming iPhone lineup will be equipped with new technologies including new cameras, better battery, improved design, and increased display sizes for Pro and Pro Max models.
This year, Apple will experiment with something new in iPhones by introducing Apple Intelligence. This suite of AI features will help users become efficient in content writing, voice control, and other key system capabilities.
We may also see some new changes in the camera design of the standard and Plus versions. With all of these packed into these devices, the iPhone 16 could give a much-needed push to upscale its market through this year and the next.
Other devices
Apple will launch new wearable devices including the Watch 10 series. This year’s watches will continue the previous form factor but with a reduced mass.
It’s expected that Watch 10 will cut weight to provide a light user experience, and increased watch display size. AirPods will get better this year in audio experience but specifics are yet to appear.
Furthermore, Apple is preparing to unveil next-gen Macs with a new M-series chipset. The company has started testing new Mac models to validate compatibility with third-party apps.
However, these new Macs will hold a separate launch later this year.
