iPhone 16 series rumored to launch in mid-September
Apple could launch the new iPhone 16 series somewhere in mid-September 10 revealing new input from Mark Gurman and Majin Bu from social media site X.
Gurman said that the company is making full-fledged preparations for the upcoming event. To match the timeline, the company is preparing to open a store location in the Del Amo mall of Torrance, a suburb near Los Angeles.
This new store will inaugurate around September 16 and Gurman said that the company could follow this occasion with iPhone 16 on September 20.
On the other hand, Majin Bu shared an alleged invitation image with the “Ready. Set. Capture” theme and September 10 launch date. This invitation also works as an RSVP submission.
For now, Apple has not shared dates for this unveiling but the iPhone 16 is expected to carry this event in September. iPhone 16 will come in four variants – Standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. These four phones will have some advancements over their predecessors including display sizes.
The company has planned to increase screens for both Pro models. That includes 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max device. On the other hand, the standard and the Plus will keep on using 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch respectively.
One of the major highlights of the new lineup will be generative AI. iOS 18 will debut some new capabilities tag new capabilities with these new iPhones including writing tools, advanced transcription of voice, and memos. Besides AI, the software will also offer new changes in the user interface.
Last year, the company introduced an action button on the iPhone 15. This year, Apple will add another physical button dedicated to the camera. This button will have features optimized for photography and videography.
We may also see new color options with titanium finishing for Pro and Pro Max variants. There will be a lot more that Apple could showcase when these devices are unveiled next month.
