This is due to the fact that the EV giant operates the largest fleet of chargers across the region. The company has more than 27,000 stalls for Tesla models and more than 15,000 stalls for NACS-partnered EVs.

Earlier this year, Ford rolled out a free NACS adapter for the F-150 Lighting electric pickup truck and the Mustang Mach-E SUV. Later, Rivian opened access to NACS for R1S and R1T via adapter. However, the company officially announced that the upcoming R2 and R3X will have NACS native charging ports.

Meanwhile, the company will maintain extensiveness by offering a CCS adapter to support CCS charging alongside NACS.

On the other hand, existing vehicles would be able to use Superchargers with adapters by mid-2024. In March, the carmaker enabled Supercharger support in China. It was announced that both companies are already collaborating in the country.

Tesla has more than 4,600 charging stalls in more than 200 cities across China and these could be located by Polestar app across mobile and EVs.

The Swedish car company plans to expand its vehicle lineup by 2026, which currently includes Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4 coupe. The company has plans to unveil the Polestar 5 four-door GT and Polestar 6 electric roadster in the next two years.

Using NACS for these vehicles will allow customers to get a better and more extensive charging experience across North America.
