X social media users can now generate images with the Grok 2 AI model and share these images with other users.

This article will show you how to generate images with this new model. First, you have to subscribe Premium or Premium+ tier for $8/month and $16/month respectively on the web. The price may increase on Android and iOS due to IAP processing fees.

Open Grok by tapping on the left menu bar and write a prompt starting with “Create an image”. Then describe the image in the next words in the same sentence. Tap on enter or the send button on the bottom side.

You have to wait a few seconds as the model processes the visual. Once completed, the image will show in the chat window with additional options. You can tap on the image to open its large view and save it on your device or computer. There’s an option on the bottom to regenerate an image for the same prompt.

If you don’t find the results satisfying, write a new text prompt and check the results. Aside from images or characters, you can also describe how to add text to the image and tell Grok to adjust its position. Furthermore, you can generate art and forms with your image description.

Unlike Dall-E, you cannot edit the prompt or the output at the moment. That’s one feature that should arrive with a future update. Unfortunately, there’s a limit on the number of AI images you can create in one day.

XAI will release new image explanation and comprehensive capability using the Vision model. This will enable users to upload an image, screenshot, or a rough diagram to grok UI and get an explanation for each of these segments.

You will be able to transcribe an entire Python code from an image with this Grok vision model. The current AI image creation feature is under beta channel and more features might come with a full release.
