iOS 18 Public Beta 4 is out for download
Apple has released iOS 18 public beta 4 for testers to download and get the new changes onboard over the beta 3 released a week ago.
This beta build is available for everyone to fetch via Settings. If you haven’t selected public beta, go to the Settings app, General > Software update, and set the beta mode to “iOS 18 Public Beta”.
Right after your iPhone will check for a new software update and bring public beta on screen. You can download and install it right away. Beta software is designed to provide early access to the upcoming upgrade but may contain some bugs.
Several new changes are made in iOS 18 including the new home screen with restriction-free icons. You can pick any app icon and place it anywhere on the screen.
You can switch widget sizes with tap and hold without entering the settings. Speaking of icons, you can change them to look darker, tinted, or just any color you want. You can zoom them to look bigger to increase their visibility.
The next major change comes in the control center. The company has added a layer of new improvements to this segment with a completely revamped design.
The control center brings you separate screens and optimized quick-access buttons. You can go two steps further and add or remove these buttons via the controls gallery. The extensive customizations make iOS 18 way better than its predecessor.
The software has increased the security of apps by enabling you to lock them up with a face ID. So, the app would require you to verify your identity before anyone can open your locked app.
Photos app has received an upgrade with more useful suggestions and helps you to organize the photographs on your phones. There’s more than you can explore in the latest public beta.
