SpaceX is preparing for the Starship Flight 5 test and the company will list a new patch to mark a key milestone of this launch test.

During flight 4, SpaceX performed accurate hot-staging and returned the super heavy booster to the targeted splash zone. The event was successful and data from the fourth flight helped the company conclude that the booster is now ready for a vertical landing on a real tower.

Therefore, flight 5 will conduct a Super Heavy landing on the Mechazilla, which will catch the booster as it slows down after a landing burn. The patch hypes this milestone in action including the mechazilla.

This will be the first time SpaceX will perform a vertical landing of the Super Heavy. Upon success, it will pave the way for the company to improve the booster’s design to achieve efficiency.

Furthermore, it will help to do the same with Starship spacecraft when it becomes eligible to land on the mechazilla. Read more below.
