Apple is planning to delay the Apple Intelligence feature rollout with iOS 18 and it suggests that the company has many doubts about this new capability.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the new AI feature would land in October rather than September. That means the initial rollout will not house the generative AI and customers will need to wait until further releases.

However, developers will get to test the new Apple Intelligence as soon as next week with the first iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta. This will be the first time when we’ll see an upgraded version in beta before releasing the full version software.

The company will release new iPhone devices somewhere in October. These new devices are likely to be promoted with new AI features but customers may have to wait for them to try them.

Interestingly, Apple will rollout an over-the-air software update for the iPhone 16 to install these AI features.
