Google rolls out Gemini 1.5 Flash for Gemini app users

Google has released a new update for Gemini app users and introduced the latest Gemini 1.5 Flash model with improved reasoning and response rate.

The 1.5 Flash enables users to get a 4 times longer context window with 32,000 tokens increased from 8,000 in version 1.0 Pro.

A long context window allows you to feed larger amounts of content with each prompt. Soon, you will be able to upload files via Google Drive or from your device to utilize this large context window.

This addition will let you process and analyze large documents and visualize them in easy-to-understand charts and graphs.

Starting today, Gemini users will see more information about the source with a link at the end of each paragraph. You can check the sourced website and expand the research. You may also see an inline link to relevant emails if the information is sourced from the Gmail extension.

This new model brings better response quality and accuracy for advanced conversation.

Google previously introduced Gemini integration in Google Messages on Android devices. This is now expanding to the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland with new languages including French, Polish, and Spanish.

You can tap on the “Start chat” button and select Gemini all within the app. Google also announced that 1.5 Flash is available to all Gemini users on the web and mobile in more than 40 languages and over 230 countries across the globe.
