Tesla has a new 12.5.3 version for Full Self Driving (FSD) in the pipeline and will get a wide release for all FSD users and subscribers.

Earlier this week, FSD 12.5 made a debut and it comes with new improvements for driving experience over FSD 12.3 and 12.4. The pauses, transitions, and on-road intelligence have been improved.

Still, some bugs are annoying users, for example, the new vision-based driver attention monitoring system. X user @mikepat wrote, “No nag eye tracking is a gun to the head. You can barely glance at the screen without getting yelled at. At the same time, it’s worth it for no nag”.

The company introduced vision-based monitoring with FSD 12.4 and it improves hands-free driving. Another complaint from the user is about automatic speed offset, and other customers are facing issues with this feature in some places.

Replying to this user, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the first version has some issues but it improves the user experience. It’s also mentioned that the company has released FSD 12.5.0 for users who’ve requested advanced releases. On the other hand, a wide release of FSD 12.5 features will come with 12.5.3.

FSD 12.5.0 changelog confirmed some pending capabilities awaiting future rollouts including the more natural lane change decision. Vision driver monitoring will also get support for sunglasses, end-to-end on the highway, and FSD for Cybertruck.
