Apple is preparing for a major release next year and it will be called “iPhone 17 Slim“, which will focus on its form factor, and its specifications are now leaked by Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo said the company will discontinue the iPhone 17 Plus, which accounts for around 5-10% of the new iPhone series. This will be swapped with a slim but expensive model in 2025. However, the model is more than just a replacement.

Talking about specifications, the iPhone 17 Slim will use a 6.6-inch screen with a 2,740 x 1,260 pixels resolution. The company will install a new A19 chipset and the Pro models will come with A19 Pro. The model will use a dynamic island display design similar to current-generation iPhones.

The device will feature a titanium-aluminum alloy metal frame. It will have a low titanium mix compared to Pro and Pro Max variants. Meanwhile, the standard version will continue to use an aluminum metal frame.

Kuo predicts that the phone will use an in-house 5G chip. Interestingly, it will have only one rear camera (main). These specs are in line with the previous leak and suggest that the company has something new to offer next year.

Meanwhile, the ultra-slim form factor cannot be defined due to the unknown dimensions of this device. However, we can say that the iPhone 17 Slim will emphasize its looks more than its hardware.

It’s suggested that the iPhone 17 series will bring major upgrades in the camera system and display sizes compared to its predecessor.

The iPhone 17 Slim will top the other three models including the Pro Max, and price above at around $1,299. Still, we need to wait until next year to know more about this release.
