Lucid announces 2025 Air sedan with 5 miles/kWh efficiency

Lucid has announced the 2025 Lucid Air sedan update with 5 miles per kilowatt hour of energy efficiency and 146 MPGe EPA rating for the Air Pure model. With this update, the company has made the heat pump standard in all models.

With 5 miles of range per kilowatt hour of energy, the car can deliver 420 miles from an 84 kWh battery pack.

“This means that the new Lucid Air Pure requires less electrical energy for any journey taken, A to B, than any other vehicle on the market today,” wrote Lucid.

The luxury EV maker says a smaller pack in Lucid Air Pure reduces the demands on public power grids and enables more miles with less energy.

Furthermore, the Air model received new hardware with increased performance and memory compared to the previous generation model.

All Lucid Air models now equip DreamDrive Premium Advanced Driver AssistnaceSystem (ADAS) including 3D surround view monitoring, live blind spot display, and more.

The Grand Touring model is also getting new enhancements in-car entertainment experience with an advanced SurrealSound Pro sound system.

Grand Touring has the most 512-mile driving range with a price tag of $110,900. The Touring model has a couple of smart features with a 406-mile range it starts at $78,900. The Pure model stands at the entry gate with $69,000 with 420 miles of range.
