Tesla has released a new Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) version in the US and it comes with 363 miles of driving range for customers at $42,490. This is the fourth option in the Model 3 series with a range better than Long Rang AWD versions.

The rear wheel drive is still listed at $38,990 but doesn’t qualify for Federal Tax credit. On the other hand, the new RWD LR brings this benefit to take the price down to $34,990. That makes it even cheaper than the RWD version.

Its performance is tuned with 0-60mph acceleration in 4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the RWD model offers a 272-mile range and 0-60mph acceleration in 5.8 seconds. The new Model 3 RWD has more range, less price, and better performance than the standard version.

The Upgraded Model 3 equips a sleek front design and improved aerodynamics to support performance. Its headlights are optimized for a refreshed on-road appearance. The rear of the car is also enhanced with new taillights.

In April this year, Tesla reinvented the Performance variant with a new motor, better braking system, and 0-60mph acceleration in 2.9 seconds. The Long Range AWD and performance versions are priced at $47,490 and $54,990 respectively. These cars are also eligible for a $7,500 Federal tax credit.

The model comes in five colors Stealth Grey, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Deep Blue Metallic, Solid Black, and Ultra Red. Among these, Stealth Grey is free and the rest are paid.

It features 18-inch Photon wheels and you can opt for 19-inch Nova wheels for $1,000. The car will offer a black interior in the purchase price and white for $1,000.

Furthermore, you can add Full Self Driving for $8,000 alongside the purchase bundle or subscribe to it for $99. Earlier this year, the company reduced the purchase price from $12,000 and $199 respectively.

The electric vehicle (EV) has also opened a free FSD transfer campaign to transfer FSD from an existing Tesla to a new one. However, the offer is valid until September 30, 2024.

Orders for new Tesla Model 3 RWD Long Range are now opened but the company has not said anything about its delivery date. However, the delivery for the base model is currently standing between July-August 2024.
