Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) Transfer

Tesla today opened free Full Self Driving (FSD) transfers for customers in Europe and this time, the offer will last for the next three months. This new offer comes into effect after Tesla CEO, Elon Musk agreed to investors’ request to enable FSD transfers for one more quarter at 2024 Investor Day.

This offer applies to existing Tesla owners with active FSD who want to transfer FSD capability from their current model to a new one. Once transferred to the new vehicle, the existing vehicle will retain access to autopilot features.

You will have to buy a separate subscription for the old vehicle if you change your mind about using FSD. Or, add FSD to your new car purchase package.

This offer is valid from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024. Participants must take delivery of a new Tesla before the last date. To claim this offer, you must be a legal owner and registrant of the current vehicle with FSD.

You need to have existing and new vehicle registered on the same Tesla account. Also, this is a one-time transfer and you cannot repeat it again.

The transfer will be completed within 72 hours of taking the new vehicle delivery because it may take up to 48 hours to strip the FSD from the current model. This offer doesn’t apply to used vehicles, inventory models, business vehicles, commercial vehicles, and leased vehicles.

To request a transfer, you need to access this offer in your Tesla account or find it via the Tesla app. You can also contact Tesla’s sales advisor for more information. Furthermore, the owner will need to notify Tesla of their intent to transfer FSD and sign the related document before taking delivery of a new vehicle.

This is a great opportunity for owners looking to buy a new Tesla and don’t want to add a whole new package. However, these three months might be the last time, customers may benefit from such an offer.
