Full Self-Driving (FSD) cars with version 12.3.6 are now upgrading to 12.4.3, the latest software with better driving capabilities. These 12.3.6 users have been left behind and gradually making their way to the newest version.

FSD 12.4.3 comes amid the company paused 12.4.2, which was limited to a few users. This build was released with firmware version 2024.15.15 with no wheel nag, resolving a long-standing issue for FSD drivers.

The company has installed a new driver monitoring system based on the cabin’s camera. The system no longer relies on wheel torque and uses vision algorithms to detect the driver’s posture. This new system allows users to keep their hands off the wheel for a long time. However, users will receive warnings if it detects sunglasses or hats.

It improves the driving experience, with few pauses based on complex scenarios and road conditions. Tesla has improved turns on busy streets and the car stops gradually on the stop sign. Object awareness has been strengthened to detect and take quick actions for pedestrians and animals.

@Aidrivr says the excessive lane change has been fixed in this update but may not be completely wiped away as some users are still experiencing this on different roads.

Multiple speed limits in certain areas have been fixed due to some internal map upgrades. However, it’s not mentioned in the changelog. The speed control is also optimized and hovers around the speed limit.

This new FSD is expanding gradually but it may take some time to reach all of the users.
