Tesla Model 3 is now available in Quicksilver paint in China, Europe, Australia, and other markets. Unfortunately, it’s not listed in the US at least for now. The electric vehicle (EV) maker announced this new color a day after the second quarter (2024) delivery and production results. It has scored a lead over the previous quarter and delivered more EVs.

Tesla introduced this paint with Model Y in the global market and it shines through it. It has a multilayer paint process and creates a deep metallic sheen that changes based on angle and lighting.

The color was processed in the Gigafactory Berlin in Germany. Soon, the company expanded the paint in various markets. Adding this color to Model 3 brings a whole new experience for customers. Last year, Tesla upgraded this model with new features and redesigned the front and rear.

The front now has sleek headlights and optimized fascia, while the rear also has taillights and enhanced aerodynamics. Tesla already serves this EV in five colors  – Stealth Gray, Pearl White Multi-Coat, Deep Blue Metallic, Solid Black, and Ultra Red. Among these, the stealth gray is free and included in the purchase price but the other five are paid add-ons.

The Quicksilver is the sixth color at 12,000 Chinese yuan ($1,650), similar to Ultra Red. The paint and the cost remained unchanged for Model Y as well. In the US, both Ultra Red and Quicksilver go to $2,000.

Recently, the American car maker has expended a 0-interest loan incentive for new customers in China (via Cnevpost). The plan was set to expire last month but it will remain open until July 31. The EV company usually initiates news upgrades and colors first to overseas markets including China and Europe. And, the Quicksilver Tesla Model 3 will eventually arrive in the US.
