Tesla cars are getting YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and more

Electric Vehicles (EV) maker Tesla is rolling out a new software version 2024.26 and it brings two additional music streaming applications – YouTube Music and Amazon Music.

Tesla cars already offer Spotify and Apple Music streaming for customers but adding these two options will enrich their entertainment experience.

YouTube Music has more than 100 million songs for premium users and you can fetch the entire playlist or library from YouTube directly to the Music app. Amazon Music also has a large music library for users for ads free music streaming with podcasts and more.

The update installs new parental controls. It lets you set a PIN on your vehicle, a maximum speed limit, and limit acceleration to Chill mode.

You can turn on safety features including Speed Limit Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Forward Collision Warning. Set up Night Curfew mode to receive notifications via the Tesla app on your mobile when the vehicle is driven past the curfew.

To use new parental control, open the Tesla mobile app and go to Controls, then Safety and Parental Controls. Follow the on-screen instructions to enable parental controls from the Tesla app.

2024.26 firmware brings new Weather Forecast and Air Quality. Your Tesla’s status bar now shows the local weather conditions along with temperature. Your vehicle will also show an AQI symbol and index value when the air quality gets poor.

Tesla has redesigned climate panel to enable comfort settings. With Auto, the fan speed may now automatically decrease to lower the sound of ambient noise during a phone call. Above all, Amazon Music and YouTube Music to Tesla cars will provide more options for customers to get a better user experience.
