Artificial Intelligence company xAI has shared the first-ever image of the in-development AI Supercomputer. These new visuals show the difference in the xAI team with increased members.

However, it primarily focuses on the supercomputer racks with before and after comparison shots. This is the largest AI infrastructure for xAI to boost data processing capability for Grok and other future products.

A week ago, Dell CEO, Michael Dell confirmed that his company is building server racks for xAI’s supercomputer. The rack is pretty big and it has Nvidia AI server technology. These were ready to ship and are now installed in the xAI building.

Charles Liang, founder and CEO of Supermicro Computers uploaded a picture with xAI founder Elon Musk on social media site X. The background infrastructure matches the latest visuals uploaded by xAI.

Liang thanked Musk for using liquid cooling technology for the AI data center. It’s obvious that he’s talking about xAI and confirmed that Supermicro is providing liquid cooling solutions for new server racks.

The latest server technology with multiple GPUs and CPUs creates a major challenge for data center operators. Especially, high-performance servers generating up to 10kW of heat, which needs to be removed. Servers for advanced AI, HPC, and Analytics require these high-performance systems which run hotter than ever before.

Supermicro offers a liquid-cooled rack solution including numerous components designed to achieve maximum cooling for AI servers. Liquid cooling reduces up to 80 percent of the electricity cost for the server, up to 40 percent for the entire data center, and up to 55 percent for data center server noise.

The first liquid-cooled xAI training cluster will be online around August this year. It will include around 100,000 Nvidia H100 AI chipsets. The company has even bigger plans for next year.
