Tesla today officially announced Full Self-Driving (FSD) transfers for car owners in the US. This offer was first confirmed by the customer representative and resumed after strong demand from Tesla owners.

FSD is a self-driving technology that navigates the car on the road and through different traffic. With the car’s sensors and onboard camera, FSD can detect hazards and objects to react in real time.

FSD transfers enable car owners to transfer this capability from an old car to a newly purchased model. In that case, the user won’t have to purchase FSD for a new car. The latest FSD transfer campaign is valid until August 31 in the US. This offer may fall short a month from a quarter but it’s still more than previous transfer campaigns.

Importantly, this may be the last time Tesla opens transfers to existing owners and customers should claim benefits before it expires.
