Android Auto is coming for Lucid Air this fall

Lucid will release Android Auto for the Lucid Air electric sedan this fall confirmed Nick Twork, Head of Communication for Lucid Motors. Although, this car comes with a pre-built operating system but Android Auto has a wide user base in the automotive industry.

The software lets you connect a phone to the car display and use the Android apps with a enlarged view. You can interact with these apps directly from the touch screen or set navigation upfront.

You can dial or pick up a call directly from the car screen. The latest version of Android Auto supports Google Assistant and helps you control the navigation or manage playback without looking out of the road.

The assistant can Google Assistant can read your messages and write back with just voice or select Smart Reply from the preset. The core of this conversation stays as a delayed timeline, as Lucid continues to push Android Auto’s launch for its electric sedan.

We’ll have to see how it goes for Lucid Air this time around and when the over the air (OTA) update arrives with Android Auto.
