Apple is focused on building a new slim version of the iPhone 17 series relating to next year according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman during this week’s Power On weekly newsletter.

Gurman shared information that this new model will be “significantly slimmer” and it’s under development to release by the time of iPhone 17 in 2025. This input aligns with previous reports about this model, rumored to distinguish itself from the current iPhone lineup.

Haitong International Securities Analyst Jeff Pu said Apple will launch the iPhone 17 Slim next year. However, the analyst didn’t elaborate on the specifications of this unreleased iPhone. Last month, Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young suggested the iPhone 17 Slim model will equip a 6.55-inch screen. This size would be smaller than the iPhone 16 Plus launching this year.

The Cupertino-based company released the iPhone 15 Plus and Pro Max featured 6.7-inch screens. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, on the other hand, are equipped with a 6.1-inch display.

TheInformation reported that the iPhone 17 Slim could be the most expensive ever. The current generation of iPhone 15 Plus with a similar screen starts at $899 and the Pro Max starts at $1199. If the iPhone 17 Slim will top the iPhone 16 Pro Max then what would be the price of this slimmer version? Let us know your suggestion in the comment section.
