Tesla said 3 new EV models are now under development and will come with different capabilities. CEO, Elon Musk announced this lineup at the 2024 Annual Tesla Shareholders meeting after the $56 billion pay package pay package.

“We got some new products we’re working on under cover. They’re going to be pretty special” said Tesla Chief without revealing model names or price range.

However, the company shared a presentation slide with three models hidden under covers alongside the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, Cybertruck, and Semi truck in the existing portfolio.

Based on the appearance and silhouette, the two in the row above are cars and the one in the bottom is boxy just like a van. The company doesn’t operate electric vans but may have planned such products for commercial customers.

Electric vans are becoming popular in the industry for various tasks including cargo and package deliveries. Rivian contracted with Amazon to build thousands of electric delivery vans and it’s also talking to other customers in the sideline.

The two cars might be Tesla’s new affordable series. The EV maker has been working on low-cost vehicles for the past few years. Earlier this year, a report surfaced that Tesla had halted work on an affordable platform. Instead, the focus has shifted to Robotaxi, a new autonomous model that will be unveiled in August.

During the Q1 2024 Earning Call, Musk said that the company has plans to launch new models by early 2025. These new EVs will include affordable variants built with the next and current generation platforms. Furthermore, it will utilize existing production lines instead of investing in a brand-new factory.

After updates, the production will improve to more than 3 million vehicles capacity. Still, there’s more information yet to come on these speculative 3 EV models that Tesla planned to launch in the near future.
