Non-Foundation Tesla Cybertruck production to start next quarter

Tesla has announced that the non-foundation series Cybertruck will start production by next quarter and the Foundation series will end soon. After a long delay in manufacturing, Tesla announced the first batch of deliveries in late 2023 and brought a Foundation series Cybertruck for early adopters.

The EV company launched the foundation series as a special edition for the first set of customers. On the other hand, the electric truck comes in three trims including Cyberbeast with a 2025 delivery date and a $99,000 price tag.

This version brings 320 miles estimated range, 0-60 mph acceleration in 2.6 seconds. 130 mph top speed, 845 horsepower, 10,296 lb-ft roque, and up to 11,000 lbs towing capacity.

The all-wheel drive will also start deliveries in 2025 at $79,990 with 340 miles range, 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, and 112 mph top speed. This variant brings 600 horsepower, 7,435 lb-ft torque, and Cyberbeast-like towing capacity. This AWD model will be eligible for a full $7,500 tax credit. It will lead the price down to $72,509, a good point to sale the Cybertruck.

Last but not least, the super affordable Cybertruck at $60,990 with rear-wheel drive and 250 miles of driving range. This EV can accelerate 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds. However, this model will be available to order in 2025 and the delivery date is unknown. With a Federal tax credit, the model will reduce the purchase price to $53,490. This price point has the potential to add massive sales numbers for the company.

Meanwhile, Cybertruck’s current production has reached over 1,300 units a week. That’s way more than the previous record.
