2025 Nissan LEAF goes on sale at $28,140

Nissan has opened the first sale of the 2025 Nissan LEAF compact electric vehicle (EV) with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,140. Nissan LEAF comes in two battery variants for different driving ranges and configurations based on customers’ preferences.

LEAF S equips a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery and 149 miles of EPA estimated range which is priced at $28,140. The SV Plus variant brings a 60-kWh battery with up to 212 miles of EPA estimated range priced at $36,190. Both of these models bring Nissan Safety Shield 360 as standard. LEAF SV Plus version offers ProPILOT Assist and an Intelligent Around View Monitor. Furthermore, the 2025 LEAF has EV Carefree+ including scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles (whenever occurs first). It also brings EV Battery Health Assurance and 36-months/36,000 miles emergency EV Roadside Assistance.

Despite its low price, the 2025 Nissan LEAF is not eligible for a full Federal EV tax credit due to the new regulations. Customers can still claim 2024 LEAF vehicles manufactured in 2024 but need to be purchased before January 1, 2025.

LEAF enhanced with a refreshed exterior design including a restyled front grille, bumper molding, and headlights. The cabin has room for five people with up to 30 cubic feet of available cargo space and a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat.

It sports 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, fog lights, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The LEAF S can charge up to 80 percent in 40 minutes and LEAF SV Plus can fill the capacity in 60 minutes. Standard NissanConnect infotainment with an 8-inch display includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and four USB ports. LEAF SV Plus adds Nissan Door-to-Door navigation.

The EV-specific infotainment system features a charging timer allowing the driver to set a charging schedule for the vehicle and an HVAC timer to enable pre-heating or pre-cooling the cabin.
