SpaceX launched its 60th mission Falcon 9 rocket mission of 2024, achieving a new milestone for the space launch vehicle company as it moves for more rapid reusability.

On June 7, 2024, SpaceX launched the first of the two Falcon 9 missions carrying 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. The weather was favorable for this liftoff from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

After hot staging, the first stage landed on a droneship completing its 14th overall flight. It previously supported CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, SES-18, and SES-19 and 12 Starlink missions including the latest.

Interestingly, this was the 300th Falcon 9 first standing landing, which is a huge milestone for the reusability factor. On June 8, 2024, SpaceX sent a new Falcon 9 rocket to low-Earth orbit with a payload of 20 Starlink satellites including six satellites with Direct to Cell capability.

This was a record 21st liftoff for the booster stage, which previously sponsored Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Globalstar FM15, ISI EROS C-3, Korea 425, Maxar1, and now 10 Starlink missions.
