Kia announces price of EV3 compact electric SUV
Electric Vehicle (EV) maker Kia has announced the price of the new Kia EV3 compact electric SUV in South Korea. It shows that Kia is delivering what it promised with the car.
- The Standard model has a purchase price of KRW 42.08 million ($30,818).
- The Earth model is priced at KRW 45.71 million ($33,473).
- The GT Line is priced at KRW 46.66 million ($34,168)
- The Long Range version is also priced at KRW 46.66 million ($34.168)
These prices could go down with Korea’s environmentally friendly vehicle tax benefits. That being said, the standard EV3 is expected to start at KRW 39.95 million ($29,246) and the Long Range version at KRW 44.15 million ($32.313).
That’s an interesting price range for this new electric car compared to EV6 and EV9. Kia is planning to begin EV3’s full-scale sales in July this year after the Korean ministry completes its certification process. However, Korean customers can now book this vehicle in advance.
That brings us to its arrival in the US, which remained unconfirmed. We expect the EV to launch at a relative price tag and remain affordable for US customers.
