New information reveals iPhone 16 Pro Max size
This year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max will achieve significant screen bezel reduction and there’s more information about this device to confirm its size and dimension.
Tipster @Iceuniverse said the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be 163.024mm tall, 77.575mm wide, and 8.26mm thick. The size will allow the device to host a 6.883-inch screen, which sums up to 6.9 inches.
Its predecessor the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes 159.9mm in height, 76.7mm wide, and 8.25 mm thick along with a 6.7-inch screen. That’s almost a 0.2-inch increase in the 16 Pro Max model.
We looked into Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is 162.3mm in height, 79.0mm in width, and 8.6mm in thickness. This phone packs a 6.8-inch screen.
However, Apple will not only increase the display but it will also optimize the bezel in the Pro models. The tipster also mentioned that the panel bezel will be the same on all four sides at 1.153mm, the slimmest in all smartphones.
Galaxy S24 Ultra on the other hand offers 1.55mm bezels. The total bezel, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s frame, can reach up to 2.146mm, way below the S24 Ultra’s 3.38mm.
The Cupertino-based tech company could pull a new Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology to achieve this massive bezel reduction. This tech can achieve identical display bezels on all sides simultaneously.
By providing an improved screen, Apple can improve the on-screen content viewing experience. For now, it’s unconfirmed whether the new iPhone will also cut down the dynamic island.
iPhone 16 series will consist of four models – standard, plus, pro and pro max. The first two will retain a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen. The other two reportedly bring new 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens. Apple will also use a new advanced chipset for these iPhones for generative AI features via iOS 18.
