Rivian R1T Refresh has been spotted in the Pikes Peak hill climb color design, showing that this electric pickup truck is ready for the second round.

The image shared on Rivianforums confirms a current-gen R1T towing this R1T Refresh in Colorado Springs. The R1T Fresh brings a facelift front and new headlights which can be seen from a distance. This model also features new 22-inch wheels for maximum track performance.

Last week, Rivian officially announced its participation at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. It is an annual automobile hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. The track measures 12.42 miles (19.99 km) and has more than 156 turns.

Participants have to climb 4,750 feet (1,440 meters) from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway to the finish at 14,115 feet (4,302 meters) on grades averaging 7.2%.

Rivian is returning Gardener Nichols for this race in the second year. Here are some of the statistics from his last year’s run:

  • His Best and Rookie time was 11:23.983
  • His best finish was 8th in exhibition

Pikes Peak racing website has listed the new Rivian R1T electric pickup truck details including an all-wheel drive (AWD) drive train and 136-inch wheelbase. The existing R1T has 135.8-inch wheelbase, a slight increase in the refreshed model. The Rivian R1T will carry the number “21” at the hill climb.

The 102nd Running of The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill climb is sponsored by Gran Turismo and scheduled for Sunday, June 23 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
