Here’s a clear view of Rivian R1 Refresh (Images)
Rivian R1 Refresh models are approaching unveiling and new images of the R1S Refresh have brought us the clearest view of this upcoming Rivian electric vehicle (EV).
The images from a Lowell Soong Seattle Rivian Owners (PNW) FaceBook group show the R1S Refresh with Limestone paint. This is by far the closest appearance of this electric SUV with numerous upgrades over the existing R1S.
The front of the car comes with redesigned headlights with a slightly taller LED bar. It consists of two sections – lower and upper light bars. The upper bar would function alongside the headlights but the lower bar may work as a special feature such as showing the charging level.
The car also has some new optimizations for the stadium headlights but remains minimalistic. The front bumper has towing hooks, which have been absent from the previous R1S lookouts.
The turn indicators are also revamped in the Refresh model compared to the R1S. The height of the front is also tweaked for a bulkier design experience.
The side of the car shows new 22-inch aero wheels, this advancement comes for the performance version. Previous information shows that Rivian may not have a 21-inch wheel option and only offers 20-inch and 22-inch wheels. However, that situation may change for the standard drivetrain.
The door handles have small details such as an indicator engraving and optimized depth. The rear side also has the new LED bar below the taillight bar which expands to blinkers. This may have similar effects to the front secondary light bar.
Overall appearance is unchanged in this new model, the car carries identical dimensions and design of the existing R1s. However, the optimizations make it easy to spot the difference between R1S and R1S Refresh.
Launch date
Rivian has not announced an official launch date for R1S Refresh but it’s expected to unveil somewhere this month.
