2025 Rivian R1 Refresh image leak shows new headlights, bumper, side view, and charging port
The 2025 Rivian R1 Refresh design has now appeared in a massive image leak revealing various aspects of this new lineup with added optimizations to make it appealing compared to existing models.
Both sets of images are uploaded on RivianForum but from different locations. The first sightings came directly from the Normal Illinois manufacturing facility. These R1 Refresh models are produced freshly in hundreds of quantities. Interestingly, there’s no camouflage or additional cover this time.
Amid this ultrawide look, there are more images of the R1 Refresh but this time spotted on Rivian Adventure Network (RAN). This is the clearest look of the vehicle by far with a bunch of small details.
Front
Headlights are refreshed including the LED bar with a new angular cutout and a depth inside. This detail is maintained from the front through both sides. However, there isn’t any notable change in the stadium bars.
The information shows that the headlights will bring new effects but no specifics are available. The bumper is slightly uplifted and no towing hooks are shown in the images.
Side
No major change was detected on the side rather than a few more cameras for ADAS capability. The charging port has received a revamp with an increased width and a release button on the left side of the port.
The R1 refresh will still feature a CCS port and be able to connect NACS with an adapter. Furthermore, the car will be equipped with silver wheel calipers. The rear side remained identical to the existing model but we may see a bit of uplighting here as well.
Rivian will also refresh R1T but there is no clear view of the model in radar. It’s expected that both the R1S and R1T refresh will be unveiled next month. However, Rivian has yet to make an official announcement. In the meantime, you can check some findings on the Rivian R1 Refresh Specifications here.
