Tesla has brought a new reason for shareholders to vote for their shares before the Annual Stockholders Meeting next month. This vote is crucial to reinstating CEO Elon Musk’s $56 billion pay package.

The Electric Vehicle (EV) giant announced that those who vote have a chance to win a tour of the Tesla Gigafactory with CEO Elon Musk and Chief Design Franz von Holzhausen in Austin Texas.

Earlier this year, Musk’s pay package was invalidated by the Delaware Chancery Court Chancellor, who found that Musk controlled the company and the board’s compensation committee. However, the board left this decision up to shareholders by voting on Musk’s pay package.

The Tour will cover Cybertruck electric pickup truck and Model Y manufacturing lines with Musk as well as other executives with a private group of stockholders on Juen 12. The company will tour stockholders a day before the Annual Stockholders Meeting on June 13.

To participate in this factory tour contest, vote your shares, submit proof of share ownership, and vote on the official Tesla website (here). The company will register your entry to win a tour. Alternatively, you can send a postcard.

This action requires only one entry per stockholder and winners will be decided based on how many shares you hold or how you voted your shares. In numbers, the company will conduct a random selection based on the above criteria to tour 15 participants.

How to Vote

Shareholders need to submit voting proof and not the process of voting. You also don’t need to vote for or against any proposals to be eligible for entry.

You are eligible to vote and to enter the drawing, only if you were a stockholder of record or a beneficial owner at the close of business on April 15, 2024. Tesla will accept the voting proof until Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM central time.

Tesla also confirmed that the competition doesn’t require any purchase or payment to enter or win this contest. A purchase or payment will not improve the winning chance either.
