Rivian discounts R1S and R1T inventory to prepare for R1 Refresh

Rivian has announced discounts on R1S and R1T configurations to empty the current inventory models before the Refresh version models come in.

Here is a breakdown of incentives on R1S and R1T configurations observed by Rivian enthusiast @RivianTrackr. You can also explore the available configurations here on the official website.

2023/2024 R1S

  • Quad-Motor is now $6,000 (down from $8,000)
  • Large battery is now $7,100 (down from $9,100)
  • Max battery is now $15,100 (down from $19,100)

2023 R1T

  • Performance Dual-Motor is a free upgrade (down from $5,000)
  • Large battery is now $5,100 (down from $9,100)

2024 R1T

  • The large battery is now $3,100 (down from $9,100) on Dual-Motor
  • The large battery is now $5,100 (down from $9,100) on Performance Dual-Motor and Quad-Motor

These discounts could be helpful for customers who want to order a Rivian R1. Meanwhile, Rivian R1 and R1T configurations are eligible for a $3,750 federal tax credit under the $80,000 MSRP cap. The price and resourcing are the only reasons Rivian cannot offer the full $7,500 tax credit.

Rivian R1 Refresh

These new discounts also come at a time when Rivian is actively testing R1S and R1T refresh models. The electric vehicle (EV) company will host its annual Inventory Day next month and it is rumored that these two models may be unveiled in June.
