Skoda teases Elroq fully electric SUV
Skoda has announced a new compact electric SUV “Skoda Elroq” and it will be released this autumn. The company has also published a teaser to show some interesting aspects of this new vehicle.

The SUV has a bulky outlook and it has a big front. Skoda says this electric SUV will be based on a modular electric drive matrix (MEB). It is a construction-kit system to enables car manufacturing of different sizes and classes.
It could use the same or similar construction of an electric battery. The platform has a fast-charging battery system integrated into the vehicle’s floor to protect and save space simultaneously.
Skoda’s chief designer Oliver Stefani said the new Skoda Elroq will use Modern Solid design language. The company says this design strategy will align “more closely with customer’s lifestyle”.
This will equip a convex bonnet shape with a new “SKODA” letters logo. The company says this new logo fits more into the digital technology era. The car’s front will get a Tech-Dec radiator grill to showcase the interpretation of the traditional Skoda car grille. It will be complemented by split headlights on the front.
