Hyundai and four other carmakers to recall 266,000 vehicles in South Korea
Hyundai Motor and four other carmakers in South Korea will recall more than 266,000 vehicles including electric cars for faulty components. Korea’s Yonhap reported that these five companies include:
The activity covers a total of 12 different models from these car firms and sums up more than 266,074 units. The recall is confirmed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in a statement on Wednesday.
Hyundai’s Genesis coupe was diagnosed with a faulty hydraulic electronic control unit. Kia’s Carnival minivan experienced a faulty engine filter, and Toyota’s Lexus LS500h sedan had poor assembly issues in the passenger seats in the front row.
Lastly, Volkswagen’s ID.4 electric vehicle had problems in the front seats. Vehicle owners will get contacted by the manufacture to fix these issues or replace the concerned parts without chargers.
