SpaceX surpasses 3 million Starlink user base

SpaceX has surpassed a 3 million Starlink user base worldwide and announced the company as this internet service reached nearly 100 countries.

Engineered by Space Launch Service Provider SpaceX, Starlink provides satellite-based internet services in remote locations. This satellite is gaining popularity for its robust connectivity in places without mobile signals.

Starlink is available for consumers, roaming, boats/ships, flights, and government agencies. It has a two-step installation guide – the first is to plug it into a power source and the second is to point it at the sky. The connection dish is designed to withstand sleet, heavy rain, and high winds.

Recent Additions

On Sunday, Elon Musk, SpaceX founder and CEO reached Bali to launch Starlink satellite internet services in Indonesia. This event took place at a community health center in Bali. Indonesia is home to more than 17,000 islands which expand with a connectivity gap between millions of people.

“It’s really important to emphasize the importance of internet connectivity and how much of a life-changer and a life-saver it can be,” Musk said after launching Starlink.

The following day, SpaceX announced Starlink across the 300+ islands in the Republic of Fiji. These two countries account for the 98 and 99th spots in the Starlink service availability map. SpaceX is regularly applying for regulatory licenses in new markets to get approval for the launch and more countries will soon enable Starlink.
