AiLo Logistics, a major drayage carrier operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, ordered 100 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks from Nikola.

The order will be completed by Tom’s Truck Centers, a member of the Nikola sales and service dealer network. The electric truck maker has announced the delivery phase will start next year.

AiLo is a rebranded company and it is a combination of other corporations including MDB Transportation, which had previously ordered 50 Nikola FCEVs from Tom’s Truck Centers. These previous truck orders have been met and will continue throughout 2024. This means that the company has doubled its FCEV purchase from previous year.

AiLO is working on improvements for advanced sustainable logistics services and expanding the fleet with new vehicles. The new order of 100 Nikola hydrogen FCEVs will help the company achieve a higher sustainability rate in its fleet expansion.

“This strategic move to incorporate Nikola FCEVs into our operations reaffirms our commitment to environment stewardship and underscores our proactive approach toward embracing cutting-edge technologies,” said Jack Khudikyan, Ailo CEO.
