Apple to refresh Mac Pro and Mac Studio in 2025
Apple will refresh Mac Pro and Mac Studio with a new chipset in the middle of 2025 reveals Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
In the latest edition of the “Power On” newsletter, Gurman said that Apple plans to release new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models in the middle of next year. In June last year, Apple launched M2 Max and M2 Ultra versions of these two devices with performance enhancement. These new models come with improved connectivity.
The Mac devices released next year will bring an M4-series chipset featuring new capabilities and a new NPU unit for AI applications. However, these models may not get an early release similar to last year but it indicates that the refresh cycle will now expand to 24 months.
However, Apple has an entire lineup to upgrade with the M4 chipset and the company has two more M4 variants to reveal with future MacBooks, Mac Studio, and iMac devices. Read more here.
