Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger joins Anthropic

Mike Krieger, Instagram co-founder, and former CTO, Mike Krieger joined artificial intelligence (AI) firm Anthropic as Chief Product Officer.

Under his new job role, Mike will see new product engineering, product management, and product design to help expand Anthropic enterprise applications. He will also help to improve the AI model Claude and make it accessible to more users.

According to the details, Mike has deep experience in building, and scaling products and user experiences at Instagram. He helped scale up the Instagram engineering team to more than 450 people and improved the platform to grow a billion users.

He left Instagram in 2018 along with Kevin Systrom, another Instagram co-founder. Afterward, Mike spent three years building Artifact app, a personalized news app, which was later acquired by Yahoo.

He has expertise in the product development lifecycle, hands-on coding product vision, and leadership.
