NIO and GAC partnered for EV charging and swapping technology

NIO and Guangzhou Automobile (GAC) have signed a strategic partnership on electric vehicle (EV) charging and swapping technology in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in China.

These two companies will partner for comprehensive areas of battery standards, vehicle research and development and customization, battery asset management and operations, and swapping network development and operations. Nio and GAC will collectively open their charging platforms for each other.

This partnership agreement signed by William LI, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of NIO, and Feng Xingya, President of GAC Group, attending the ceremony, Fei SHEN, Senior Vice President of NIO Power, and Xia Xianqing, Vice President of GAC Group.

Nio has a comprehensive recharging infrastructure network with the largest number of charging and swapping installations in China. As of last month, Nio installed 2,404 swapping stations in China. That includes 790 stations along expressways, connecting 13 expressways and 11 city clusters into an expressway power swap network.

Nio also has 3,776 charging stations and 21,995 NIO Chargers including 364 NIO Power Charger Stations and 1,422 NIO Power Chargers along expressways.
