Tesla Voice Assistant in works with one word wakeup feature
Tesla is working on a Voice Assistant feature that will let users ask queries and activate features without touching the display for activation.
X user @greentheonly has shared some internal source code from the Spring 2024 software update released with build version 2024.14.3. It mentions several new behind-the-scenes developments but there are two to keep us busy this time.

The code reveals that the Tesla voice assistant will support a one-word wakeup feature. It’s a sort of mobile assistant feature, Google Assistant can wake up with the “OK Google” word and become ready to take the voice command. Similar functionality could be added to the new voice assistant without touching any physical interface to activate.
The assistant will use the “Jenny Natural” voice by Microsoft. The voice is designed specifically for the narrator app in the new Windows version. It is more natural sounding and pleasant in the listening experience compared to other robotic-sounding narrators.
The voice assistant is a trending functionality for automakers and the large language model (LLM) is making them more productive. BMW and Amazon showed voice assistant LLM at the CES 2024 showcase with generative AI capability. It can provide instructions and answers about vehicle features similar to a human.
Car makers including Volkswagen, GM, and others are also in line for ChatGPT model integration for better user assistance.

Amazon Music
Tesla is also working on adding an Amazon Music playback feature to the infotainment system for an improved music listening experience. The company recently added Audible audiobook and podcast service as a native media app in Teslas. Bytheway Audible is an Amazon subsidiary.
Adding a related interface could help the company provide more efficient options for streaming music from Amazon, which has a library of more than 100 million songs.
Tesla currently comes with streaming services such as Spotify and there’s no confirmation when these features will rollout for real.
