FSD 12.4 will be a big release says Tesla CEO
Tesla has confirmed that the full self-driving (FSD) 12.4 will be a big release. This announcement comes amid the FSD 12.3.5 rollout, which started yesterday.
The release is limited to some FSD testers including Tesla employees and will soon expand to a large testing pool. This is the second FSD rollout this month and is expected to fix several new bugs.
Along with the 12.3.4 release, FSD expanded to the legacy Tesla Model S and X. This was quite a surprise because of the new self-driving capabilities coming to these old cars.
There are compatibility errors that appeared after the OTA update notification appeared. A few Legacy Tesla owners reported failure in installation. This should be fixed with FSD 12.3.5.
FSD 12.4:
This may be the biggest upgrade in the FSD 12 series due to its added new functionality and robust driving system. The company has pending features including smart summon and autopark waiting for FSD testers. We would like to see these features coming to the FSD testers.
The electric vehicle (EV) company would improve the computing system to boost object detection and data training. There’s no release date announced for this new FSD version but we could expect it to come next month.
12.4 is a big release. Should arguably be 13.
