Honda gains Hybrid sales in Q1 2024 in the U.S.
Honda has increased its Hybrid car sales count in the U.S. the company mentioned in its business result for Q1 2024. Honda doesn’t sell fully electric models at the moment for U.S. customers.
Instead, the company has two hybrid vehicles – CR-V and Accord. These two have gained substantially in the first quarter, combining all-time high hybrid sales for Honda in a quarter.
Model breakout detail revealed Honda Accord posted 15,785 sales in March 2024. It is a 4.7 percent decline compared to 16,560 sales posted during the same month last year. This model in the first quarter sold 41,927 units compared to 42,806 units sold last year with a 4.6 percent year-over-year decline.
Honda CR-V on the other hand registered 36,655 sales in March this year and 31,084 units in March 2023. This is a 17.9 percent year-over-year increase in monthly comparison.
Through Q1 2024, CR-V accounts for 95,038 units in comparison to 67,241 units in Q1 2023. This is a sharp 41.3 percent growth in the sales of this model.
America Honda sold a total of 333,824 vehicle with a 17.3 percent growth rate in the first quarter. Acura, a subsidiary of Honda sold 30,373 units of vehicles with a 9.2 percent decline and Honda Global sold 303,451 units with a 20.9 percent improvement.
