New Tesla Roadster will bring ‘SpaceX technology’

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk said that the new Roadster will bring ‘SpaceX technology’ and a superfast acceleration like no other car. The latest comment from the Tesla chief came in an interview with Don Lemon published today.

The new Roadster has been on the prototype stage for years but a recent announcement from the Tesla chief has once again triggered interest in this Tesla vehicle.

Musk said that the new Roadster will be a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX. Therefore, the car will bring “some rocketry stuff”. He further elaborated that the Roadster will carry SpaceX technology.

“It’s going to have some rocket technology in it. I think the only way to do something cooler than Cybertruck is to combine Tesla and SpaceX technology to create something that’s not even really a car. [..] Something that’s never existed before.” Musk explained.

Roaster is known for its sportscar status and speed, and the next version is said to beat 0-60 seconds within 1 second. Tesla would require heavy upgrades in the vehicle’s design and powertrain to make this happen.

“Far faster than any sportscar,” said the Tesla chief during the interview.

Lemon then asked about the design of the car’s exterior and wheel system and Musk replied “Not exactly. It will have a drive-by-wire yoke, essentially. Like an aircraft or like how modern jets are controlled.”

The car has been anticipated for years and It appears that Tesla may be ready to bring this out in public. Yet, Musk previously mentioned that the earliest launch could happen in 2025 and there’s no information available about the deliveries.

“I don’t think that anyone will follow that anyone will follow the roadster that we’re gonna create,” he concluded.
