Tesla Model Y price will increase up to €2,000 in Europe by this month
Tesla on Saturday announced that the price of Tesla Model Y will increase in Europe starting March 22, 2024. The company has not announced specific markets but it will affect certain European countries.
The EV maker also notified customers in the U.S. that the $1,000 price will be added to all Tesla Model Y trims. This new addition will be effective from April 1, 2024.
The company said that the price could hike up to €2,000 ($2,179) and it may be relative to most of the applied countries.
It’s more likely that the company would first patch this new price in Germany and France. Moreover, Sweden and Norway are also eligible to get this price hike.
Price in Germany:
Tesla Model Y rear-wheel drive version is currently priced at €44,990 with a 455-kilometer WLTP range.
The long-range version is priced at €52,490 with a 533-kilometer WLTP driving range. The Performance model is priced at €58,490 with a 514 km range and 0-100 mph in 3.7 seconds.
Tesla Model Y is also eligible for government subsidies in some European countries which could lead down the price to make it more affordable.
