Czech automobile company Skoda has revealed the design of its new Skoda Epiq battery electric city SUV crossover. The vehicle is set to be released in 2025 and costs around 25,000 euros ($27,226).

The vehicle is 4.1 meters long and it could house up to 5 people. Skoda Epiq represents the new electric models for the lineup. Its design has a sculpted bonnet with a new Skoda wordmark.

Its face has a glossy black grille along with distance radar and a front camera system. The front headlamps are positioned in a lower, secondary position. The light module includes Matrix LED technology and the front bump has a dark chrome spoiler.

The rear side has T-shaped taillights and indicators. It also carries a rear bumper and Skoda letters in dark chrome on the tailgate.

The vehicle has a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 5.3-inch virtual cockpit, and a main 13-inch center infotainment display. The storage area has wireless mobile phone charging and the phone could be used as a wireless digital key for the first time.

Its luggage compartment has a volume support of up to 490 liters.

The car will offer a 400-kilometer range with bi-directional charging (bi-di) which means that the car’s battery can be used to power and charge other devices and machines. The company says it could even power an entire household.

Skoda mentioned that the new name fits into the nomenclature of its BEV SUV models. The “E” in the Epiq stands for the battery-electric Skoda model and the “Q” identifies as SUV family.
