Tesla Model Y will get $1,000 price increase on March 15 in Canada

Tesla Canada today announced that it will increase $1,000 on Model Y rear-wheel drive (RWD) and long-range all-wheel drive (AWD) on March 15, 2024.

With this addition, the price will change as the following:

1. RWD will price $54,990 (from $53,990)
2. RWD will price $64,990 (from $63,990)

Meanwhile, Model Y Performance remains unchanged at $69,990.

Over the past two months, Tesla has slashed $4,000 on all three variants of Model Y.

The Model Y RWD was previously declined at $53,990 from $57,990. The long-range version changed the price to $63,990 from $67,990. The performance version lowered its price from $74,290 to a new $69,990.

Tesla has been making changes in its car prices to sell more units in the country. However, the latest change is a good opportunity for customers who want to buy these two models before the price climb.

Tesla Model Y RWD has 394 kilometers of EPA range, 217 kilometers per hour top speed, and 6.9 seconds 0 to 100 km/h acceleration.

The AWD on the other hand has 497 kilometers of EPA range, 217 km/h top speed, and 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5 seconds.

Tesla Model Y is eligible for federal iZEV incentives for up to $5,000 and there are also provincial incentives that could take the price down further.
